Course Summary

This accredited 5-day PRINCE2 training course will provide you with a working understanding of the PRINCE2™ project management method to a level where you can use it to manage your projects and to pass the internationally recognized PRINCE2™ Foundation and Practitioner examinations (Included in the course)

Previous experience of PRINCE2™ is not necessary, but a basic awareness of project work in your own business environment or a general understanding of project management will be of benefit

The Course fee includes pre-course reading pack, PRINCE2™ manual, registration, PRINCE2™ Foundation and Practitioner  examinations (Total value over £250)

Course Outline

Course Overview

The training covers the processes, components and techniques included in the PRINCE2™ Project Management Method. The course prepares delegates for the Association of Project Management Group (APMG) exams (included in the course) and maximizes their prospect of being awarded the qualification of Registered PRINCE2™ Practitioner.


By the end of the PRINCE2 training course you will be able to:

  • Understand the need for project management
  • Understand how PRINCE2™ meets that requirement
  • Apply the PRINCE2™ processes
  • Prepare project plans with product based techniques
  • Undertake risk analysis and management
  • Prepare a Project Initiation Document
  • Understand and apply techniques for the management of product development, quality control and change control



    Who should attend ?

    The event is recommended for practicing project managers who are responsible for managing projects using PRINCE2™, or considering using PRINCE2™ for their next project. Previous experience of PRINCE2™ is not necessary.



    Course Details

    The five day PRINCE2 training event is accredited by the APMG and presented by an APM Group Accredited Training Providers for PRINCE2™


    Prerequisites

    There are no prerequisites for this training course other than a basic awareness of project work in the delegates own business environment.


    Pre-course study

    There are approximately 15 hours of pre-course study.


    Examinations

    The examinations in this PRINCE2 training course consist of the Foundation examination, a 1-hour multiple-choice paper, and the 3-hour Practitioner examination which consists of 3 questions based on a case study.


    Certification

    Delegates who pass the PRINCE" Practitioner examination are awarded the qualification of "Registered PRINCE2™ Practitioner". The certificate is an internationally recognized qualification in PRINCE2™.
