Microsoft Project Essentials on PRINCE2

Target Audience


Anyone who has not used Microsoft Project before or who has not had training in using the product and who needs to produce or understand a project plan or a project report. This might include Team Leaders, Project Leaders, Project Managers or Managers.

Learning Objectives


At the end of the course the delegates will:
  • Be able to use MS Project to produce a plan of their project; creating tasks, identifying dependencies, assigning resources and scheduling
  • Be able to use MS Project to update and control project progress
  • Have experience of using many of the menu options within MS Project
  • Be aware of the many report options available with MS Project
  • Understand how to model the PRINCE2™ processes using MS Project

Pre-Requisites


No previous knowledge of MS Project is required, but delegates must have a working of MS Windows. Some experience of working on projects would be advantageous

Course Summary


Microsoft Project is a powerful graphical program to assist the team leader, project leader or project manager to manage projects. This course provides the delegates with in-depth detail of the MS Project application and enables them to use the functionality of MS Project to plan control and communicate their own projects.

This is a practical hands-on course and delegates will use Microsoft Project to undertake many exercise projects. PRINCE2™ terminology is used throughout the event and exercises reflect the PRINCE2™ processes.
