Advanced Successful Benefits Realisation

Successful Benefits Realisation (SBR) is a complete method and toolkit based on hard experience and common sense. It shows how to understand your current capability and situation and how to actually realise, instead of just defining, the benefits the organisation is looking for. SBR integrates naturally with other popular methods for project and programme management such as MSP3 and PRINCE2.

This intensive, interactive workshop builds on the foundation laid in the introductory course – “Introduction to Successful Benefits Realisation (SBR) – A vehicle that realises required benefits from change programmes”. It equips those who are leading or managing transformational change programmes with the mindset, tools and techniques to work successfully with multiple stakeholders, cross-project dependencies and long benefit delivery timescales. Delegates will learn how to realise required benefits from change programmes.

• Engaging stakeholders to establish a clear vision or end goal
• Determining feasible paths from the ‘as is’ to the ‘to be’ and then developing plans which are agreed and owned. Process includes:
• Map creation
• Weighting paths
• Mapping as a business planning tool
• Strategy scores and residual scores
• Prioritisation and super highways
• Orphan benefits
• Change benefit dependencies
• Classifying and valuing benefits, especially treatment of non-financial benefits and the concept of economic values.
