Course Summary

The BCS-ISEB Certificate in Information Security Management Principles is an ideal qualification for those with information security responsibilities.

This practical, 5 day course follows the latest ISEB syllabus and prepares delegates for the ISEB examination.  It is designed to provide the knowledge and skills required to manage information security, information assurance or information risk based processes.

Although perceived as an IT issue. It is in fact a subject relevant to all business units and is ideal for individuals in the following roles and departments:

• Project Managers
• HR Teams/Managers
• Service Centre Teams
• Legal & Compliance Teams/Managers
• Operations Managers
• IT & Security Teams/Managers

This course will act as a stepping stone to more advanced qualifications (either managerial or technical), and also sits nicely with existing project management and service management based programs.

The aim of this qualification is to provide management level knowledge of the concepts relating to information security (confidentiality, integrity, availability, vulnerability, threats, risks and countermeasures). It provides delegates with an understanding of current legislation and regulations which impact upon information security management.

On completion delegates will possess the knowledge required to integrate the principles learnt within their existing operational, service or technical departments making normal business processes more secure.
