ISEB Infrastructure Management

Target Audience

IT Infrastructure, Service, Applications, Programme, Business and Operations Managers.

Other IT staff including Business Analysts, Development, Delivery and Support staff.

Those responsible, or potentially responsible, for the management of ICT infrastructure.

This is a higher level course which is ITIL aligned and which prepares delegates for the ISEB Manager's Certificate in IT Infrastructure Management.  As such it is complementary to the ITIL Manager's Certificate in Service Management - but with greater focus on infrastructure issues.

Learning Objectives

Succesful delegates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and application of the processes required to manage an IT infrastructure and to define the interfaces and dependencies with all other areas involved in the specification, design, development, support, delivery and continuous improvement of IT services.

Delegates will have been trained in the syllabus for the Manager's Certificate in IT Infrastructue Management.

Pre-Requisites

ITIL Foundation Certificate or at least 3 years' IS/ICT experience.

Examinations

This course does not include the ISEB exam.

However, delegates may choose to sit the ISEB Managers Certificate in IT Infrastructure Management.  Public examinations are available 4 times per annum; assessment of candidates will be based on an open book, three-hour, case study based examination, involving one mandatory question (40%) and three optional questions (60%).
