Software Testing

For high quality training in software testing select courses which are accredited by either the ISEB  (examination board of the British Computer Society) or the ISTQB (international software testing qualifications board).

At the introductory level, the ISEB Foundation Certificate offers a training course which aligns with the international ISTQB standard.  The ISEB Foundation certificate has helped establish systematic software testing as an essential and professional software engineering specialisation. It is a three day course taken by 9,000 people last year.  The course includes a one hour multiple choice exam.

There are options at the higher levels to follow either the ISEB qualifications structure, or a new training hierarchy launched in 2008 by ISTQB.

The ISEB Intermediate Certificate provides the next level of knowledge and practical expertise, and also covers the key topics which are needed as a prerequisite for either of the Practitioner level exams. The Practitioner training is structured to give alternatives according to your job role.

The ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Test Management is a high level qualification which examines knowledge and skills required for the management of Software Testing.

The ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Test Analysis is a high level qualification which examines knowledge and skills required for the technical analysis of Software Testing.
