ISEB Foundation Software Testing

The ISEB Foundation Certificate has helped establish systematic software testing as an essential and professional software engineering specialisation. It is a three day course taken by 9,000 people last year.  The training course includes a one hour multiple choice exam. It is an essential qualification for anyone pursuing a career in software testing. It is also recognised by the international ISTQB accreditation scheme.

The ISEB Intermediate Certificate provides the next level of knowledge and practical expertise.  It will not be a mandatory requirement for the ISTQB Advanced Certificates (which are set to replace the ISEB Practitioner Certificates) - though it remains a valuable stepping stone to higher level qualifications.

The ISEB is harmonising its higher level qualifications with the ISTQB scheme. The following ISEB Practitioner Certificates will only remain available until March 2011. However these certificates will continue to be recognised under the ISTQB scheme (with equivalence to ISTQB Advanced Certificates).

The ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Test Management is a high level qualification which examines knowledge and skills required for the management of Software Testing.

The ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Test Analysis is a high level qualification which examines knowledge and skills required for the technical analysis of Software Testing.
