Home to Rome 2008 - FLYING LEGENDS CELEBRATE SUCCESS
FOCUS-on-TRAINING sponsored the "Flying Legends" team which completed the Home2Rome Rally in September.
The team, which included Focus directors Steve Twine and Rex Gibson, covered 1600 miles in 4 days. The "Grand Tour" included "cultural" stops at Reims, Menton, Lake Garda and Venice. They have achieved their £2,000 fund-raising target for the Ovarian cancer support charity, Ovacome - BUT WOULD STILL WELCOME MORE DONATIONS - LARGE OR SMALL!
The £100 1991 Honda Legend didn't falter - Not a drop of oil or water was used, and no tinkering or bodging was needed
Rally Stage - The team completed a stage of the Monte Carlo Rally climbing over 1000 metres through hairpin bends
First to Rome - The Flying Legends arrived first at the finish in Rome

All donations will go to the charity except for a small admin fee taken from the Gift Aid "tax relief bonus" by "Justgiving". No money donated will be used to fund our participation in the rally.

Our Mission
Prove that with bulldog spirit we can avoid the flak and conquer all that Europe throws at us. Chocks away on 25th September; we aim to reach Rome by Monday 29th September. (See the Route)
Our Plane
A £100 budget constraint means we have had to settle for a 17 year old banger instead. A trusty 1991 Honda Legend Auto with 3.2 litres of throbbing power under the bonnet.
The Support Squadron
We will be travelling with 75 other nutty teams, loosely organised into an expeditionary force by "Home2Rome" rally organisors
