M_o_R® is the OGC Best Practice Method for Risk Management, accreditation of Training Organisations and M_o_R® courses is provided by the APM Group Ltd.
M_o_R was first published by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) in 2002, “to help organisations put in place effective frameworks for taking informed decisions about risk”. The publication was largely in response to the Turnbull Report on Corporate Governance
Course Outline
Course Format
The first 3 days of this course leads to the Foundation Exam. This has a mixture of theory and practical exercises. The Foundation exam is a 45 minutes long, 45 question multiple choice paper. The pass mark is 23 (51%).
The Practitioners Exam Papers are sent to The APM Group for marking and is competed on the afternoon of the final day. The exam is open-book based on the TBV Scenario.
Delegates are required to answer one compulsory multi-part question worth 50 marks based on applying M_o_R® to the TBV scenario at strategic level then two further questions. The first based on either programme or project risk management the second based on operational risk management.
The exam lasts 3 hours. The examination is scored out of 100. Delegates must score a minimum of 50% for the compulsory question and a minimum of 50% overall to pass this examination.
