MSP Advanced Practitioner - 2 days

Target Audience

Experienced Programme Managers who need to validate their experience and differentiate themselves from those who merely have knowledge MSP. There is a requirement  to demonstrate experience in the examination answers.

Learning Objectives

MSP Advanced Practitioner workshop develops participants’ MSP knowledge and facilitates a sharing of experience that will be required in the Advanced Practitioner Examination.

Pre-Requisites

Delegates must have attained the MSP Foundation and Practitioner qualifications before attending this workshop. They must also have some experience of performing the role of programme manager and be able and prepared to share this with other delegates and demonstrate it in their examination answers.

Course Summary

The course is delivered in a workshop format where delegates undertake activities with the consultant and other delegates to:
 Refresh their knowledge of the MSP Principles, Governance Themes and Transformational Flows;
 Tackle activities designed to demonstrate practical awareness and application of these to a case study which will be used in the examination;
 Attempt mock exams;
 Develop an in-depth understanding of the examination case study;
 Sit the Advanced Practitioner exam

Examinations

The Advanced Practitioner Examination is a scenario-based, open-book examination, designed to test the candidates advanced understanding, application and practical experience of MSP and programme management.

The examination lasts two hours and requires candidates to apply MSP to a large and complex programme that spans the public and private sectors. There are up to three compulsory questions to be answered in essay-style format, The pass mark is fifty percent.
